This retreat is for Shalom Community members who want to open themselves more fully to loving and being loved by focusing on inclusion and justice.
Discrimination, Racism, Sexism, Ableism, etc are functions of the systems we live in. We also live in a society that keeps us from our power by imprinting harmful patterns of behavior: perfectionism, conflict avoidance, shame, denial and defensiveness, binary “either/or” thinking. Making Welcome is an antidote to these toxic patterns.
Through a combination of embodied process, creative expression, individual and group process, and educational material, we will review how the systems we live in constrain us. We will identify ways we can become more free and live more creatively and authentically into our lives.
This retreat is about relearning how to love fully, authentically, creatively and freely. Many people feel shame and judgment when approaching ProJustice topics, and this retreat is not about shame. This is reconnection with spirit, beings, and selves. This is love in action–for ourselves, our family, our communities, and the world.
Please join us for this inaugural life changing and community changing retreat.
