Copywriter for SMI Marketing and Communications

Requirements: 1) Review current written marketing materials for consistency and effectiveness of communications. 2) Provide written copy for effective communication of program offerings, services and related information for www.shalommountain.com and SMI Retreat Center annual catalogue. 3) Review/edit written materials as needed for communications to the SMI community members and potential new customer base.

Skills: Effective written communication skills. Copy-writing experience. Editorial skills

Duration: Commitment for project, estimated 6-9 months. Ongoing support possible

Fund Development Coordinator and Fund Raising support.

Requirements: 1) Designs, implements, manages and documents short and long-range fund development strategies and campaigns. 2) Cultivates and maintains relationships with major donors. Provides ongoing updates for major donors. 3) Oversees the management of donor databases (Salesforce.com) and gift processing. 4) Cultivates and maintains fundraising volunteers. 5) Achieves fundraising revenue goals. 6) Works with Executive Director to promote Shalom Mountain’s fund development and fundraising goals.

Skills: Experience in designing and managing fund development and fundraising programs. Experience with developing and maintaining productive working relationships Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work as a leader and as part of a team.

Duration: Commitment of at least 2 years.

Fund Raising Support

Requirements: 1) With the leadership of the Fund Development Coordinator, designs and implements short and long-range fund development strategies and campaigns.

Skills: Interest in fundraising and fund development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team.

Duration: Commitment of at least 1 year.

FILLED Web Master for Shalommountain.com and Shalomathome.com

Requirements: 1) Maintain and update existing websites 2) integrate ShalomAtHome into shalommountain.com site 3) post content from Shalom Staff and volunteers. 4) Lead or be part of planning for any major website upgrades. 5) At end of volunteer term, recruit and train the new web master.

Skills: Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge of WordPress and web site management and design. Has experience managing WordPress websites, including creating / posting content and making changes to the themes. Has a good graphic design sense. Requires HTML expertise for some of the functions of the website. Experience interfacing to PayPal would also be helpful.

Duration: Commitment of at least 2 yrs.

FILLED Computer support for Shalom Mountain

Requirements: 1) Maintain & support Shalom computers (3 Windows 7 computers and one Mac). 2) Maintain & support peripherals (printers, scanner). 3) Maintain and support the Shalom Mountain on site network. 4) Maintain backups of Shalom computers (via Crashplan) 5) At end of volunteer term, be willing to identify a replacement and transfer knowledge to that person.

Skills: Requires Windows, Mac, networking, good troubleshooting, ability to be available as needed, ideally able to be on the Mountain occasionally.

Estimated Time Commitment: 0-4 hours/ month

Duration: Commitment of at least 2 yrs.

Salesforce.com system administration and technical support

Requirements: 1) Provide system administration and technical support for salesforce.com. 2) Create advanced reports and generates advanced ad-hoc reports as needed. 3) Consult on and continue the development of the platform for Shalom.

Skills: Experience with Salesforce.com

Estimated Time Commitment: 0-4 hours/month

Duration: Commitment of at least 2 yrs.
