Brenda Ostreicher
Brenda Ostreicher (she, her) worked for over thirty years for NYC Social Services as a case worker, a supervisor, and assistant deputy commissioner to develop policies, procedures, and programs. She worked extensively on housing for the homeless, treatment services for drug/alcohol rehabilitation, and employment counseling programs.
Her prior personal growth experiences include training in Radical Aliveness, a Core Energetics program. She was introduced to Shalom Mountain ten years ago and remains grateful for its love and support. She welcomes the talent at Shalom in the leaders, cooks, and participants. She sees intelligence, willingness to change, non-judgment, and good will. At Shalom she experiences a safe space for all to feel their feelings, support and understanding. Her personal work on recent retreats has had an extraordinary effect on her life, especially her self-view and ability to enhance her life and relationships.
She continues to participate in retreats and work weekends, which she finds joyous and productive. She is dedicated to the continuation and growth of Shalom in its objectives.
