Directions

From the North (Ontario & western NY):

Take I-81 south to Binghamton, NY. Then get on NY Route 17 east toward New York City. We are about 90 minutes from Binghamton. Take exit 96, Livingston Manor, NY. Go right at the end of the ramp, then left at the stop sign (where the road “T”s) towards Livingston Manor. Go past the Robin Hood Diner then go right onto Main St., just before the Citgo Gas station. Take Main St to the only light in town and go straight for one more mile. Then turn left onto Cattail Road. Go 3.2 miles up the road, Shalom Mountain is on the right, parking is on the left.

From the South via NYC area (including northern NJ & Long Island):

Take I-87 (aka the NY thruway) north to Harriman, NY. We are about an hour and half from Harriman. Exit onto NY Route 17 west. (Note: This is 17 not 17M). Take exit 96, Livingston Manor, NY. Go right at the end of the ramp, then left at the stop sign (where the road “T”s) towards Livingston Manor. Go past the Robin Hood Diner then go right onto Main St., just before the Citgo Gas station. Take Main St to the only light in town and go straight for one more mile. Then turn left onto Cattail Road. Go 3.2 miles up the road, Shalom Mountain is on the right, parking is on the left.

From the East (New England via CT and eastern parts of Westchester County, NY):

We are about one hour from Middletown, NY. Take I-84 west to Middletown, NY. Exit onto NY Route 17 west towards Binghamton, NY. (Note: This is 17 not 17M). Take exit 96, Livingston Manor, NY. Go right at the end of the ramp, then left at the stop sign (where the road “T”s) towards Livingston Manor. Go past the Robin Hood Diner then go right onto Main St., just before the Citgo Gas station. Take Main St to the only light in town and go straight for one more mile. Then turn left onto Cattail Road. Go 3.2 miles up the road, Shalom Mountain is on the right, parking is on the left.

From Western Mass via Albany, NY area:

Take I-87 south (aka NY thruway) from Albany. We are about two hours from Kingston. Exit at Kingston, NY onto NY Route 209 south towards Ellenville. In Ellenville, get on NY Route 52 west towards Liberty, NY. Once in Liberty take rte 52 to NY Route 17 west. Take exit 96, Livingston Manor, NY. Go right at the end of the ramp, then left at the stop sign (where the road “T”s) towards Livingston Manor. Go past the Robin Hood Diner then go right onto Main St., just before the Citgo Gas station. Take Main St to the only light in town and go straight for one more mile. Then turn left onto Cattail Road. Go 3.2 miles up the road, Shalom Mountain is on the right, parking is on the left.

From the West (from Philadelphia, PA, best route from Washington, DC & points south): 

This route includes some back-road driving. If you are uncomfortable with that, you may want to come through northern NJ and follow the directions above. Take I-81 north through Scranton, PA. (From Philadelphia, take northeast exstention aka I- 476 to I-81 north). Then take Route PA 6 east to Honesdale, PA. We are about 60 minutes from Honesdale. Turn left onto PA route 652 just after Honesdale. You will go over a bridge into NY state, go left onto NY Route 52 east from then on. Watch signs for two left turns and one right turn on route 52. Once you are through Jeffersonville, NY keep your eyes open for a left hand turn for Livingston Manor. Go left here onto County Road 149 (or Shandalee Road). Go for two more miles, then turn right onto Hardenburg Road. When you come to a fork, stay left, then very soon after turn left onto Cattail Road. We are 1 mile up Cattail on the left, parking on the right.
