Are you hungry for a more conscious connection to your body and to pleasure? Do you feel the desire to be more at home and alive in your body? Are you ready to meet a more embodied, empowered version of yourself?
Join us as we dive into Discovering Your Body Erotic.
This first step into your Body Electric journey is a clothing-on adventure that invites you to have a luscious date with yourself. Expand your erotic potential and your life energy. This is an opportunity to heal from hurt and shame through expertly guided exercises of breath, movement, heart-centered sharing, and touch. We will focus on grounded presence, desire, choice, and autonomy.
If you have experienced one of our online programs and want to go deeper or if you've been hearing about the profound work of the school, this event is for you. This workshop and all Body Electric workshops are conducted in a setting that is playful, safe, respectful, and honoring.
These three days of connection and exploration will be an opportunity for you to “let down your hair” and relax into the softness of a circle of acceptance and wisdom. You will get to practice asking for what you want, saying “yes” and saying “no”. You will be invited to share different kinds of touch with others in the circle, to learn about what kind of touch you enjoy, and how to get more pleasure out of shared touch experiences. You will be expertly guided through transformational breath-work techniques to support you in coming into deeper contact with your desire and your edges.
A warm and welcoming space will be created for you to experience new connections, experiences, and dimensions of your inner world.
FAQ
What can I expect to get from this event?
You can expect to make some significant discoveries about who you are as an erotic being. You will be invited to witness and express your own desires more clearly. You can expect to be “at choice” throughout the whole workshop, which means that you will be given ample opportunities to sincerely check-in with yourself and discern where your comfort level and preferences are for each of the exercises. You can expect to connect more deeply with your body and yourself as well as your ideas about yourself and to be given the opportunity to connect, on a heart level, with other people. You can expect to experience new sensations and an expanded sense of what the word “erotic” means.
Will there be others there who are like me?
We welcome all regardless of race, ethnicity, orientation, age, or cultural origins, including trans gender. And, it’s a fact that you will be the only person in the room who looks like you, speaks like you and feels like you. One of the magical things about the work of the Body Electric School is that we work with the universal human needs of intimacy, touch, and connection while recognizing that everyone is unique. This means that everyone in the room will be working with similar feelings, ranging from vulnerability and fear to excitement and hope. The depth and authenticity of what is shared in our circles often create a deeply felt sense of connection and commonality, despite vast differences in life experiences from one participant to another.
Will I feel uncomfortable during this workshop?
We encourage everyone in this workshop to step into “brave space” when it comes to sharing and expressing themselves. It is very heartwarming and connecting when we get to hear that others in the room are struggling with similar issues to our own. Sometimes this brave space is a stretch and does feel uncomfortable, and yet it is very freeing and healing. You will be encouraged to honor both your “yes” and your “no” when it comes to participating in each exercise.
Will I have to touch anyone I don’t want to touch?
No. You will be at choice the entire time. An important part of this workshop is learning about consent, and feeling into your own decisions about the kinds of touch you share with other people. During this workshop, we will encourage you to observe “the sacred pause”, which is the moment between the invitation and the response. We encourage you to take as long as you need in the moment of the sacred pause, to determine what feels right for you in each exercise that is offered during the workshop.
