harmony Floyd

Harmony Floyd (they/she) is a queer crochet fiber artist, yogi, and aerial enthusiast born and raised in Virginia. They received 2 undergraduate degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University: Gender Studies & Marketing with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. They’re also trained in Compassionate Communication and graduated from a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training. 

Harmony’s passion for working with and living in communities began in 2017 and they have lived in a variety of communities around the world since. Harmony found Shalom Mountain in 2018 and has attended numerous retreats since and is now completing the Art Of Loving training. Harmony’s passion for engaging in community, hands-on learning, and service to Shalom Mountain are their motivation for joining the Board of Directors. They also view their work on the Board as being in alignment with their vision to bring communities together. 

Harmony will be moving to an off-grid jungle community on Big Island, Hawai’i by the end of 2025 to get hands-on experience as a leader in an alternate intentional community.
